The Women's show

We just finished dismantling the stand I designed for Longevity Magazine at the women's show - wow, what a hectic weekend! We were on our feet the WHOLE time - from when we set up Wednesday and Thursday until we left today. I believe it all went well - we reached our target in terms of sales and the stand looked pretty decent to my opinion. I have included a couple of pics of the stand (the first was the concept design and the rest the actual pics, so you can see how close we got to the design) I will post better quality pics when I manage to fownload them from the camera - these were taken by my phone.

For those who know me knows I have been working on the SA Rugby Official Lion's Tour Guide; it has been incredibly hard work - especially the last 8 weeks.

I went to the Bok Town at Monte Casino this past weekend - and was it PACKED - it made my heart skip a beat or two to see the people reading the guide that our team made up of: Craig Ray, Solly Mokgehle; Kirsten Laurings; Charles Boffard, Ryan Manning and myself worked on. Well done to the editorial team especially!

I've been watching the competition we had in the guide; which included suite tickets to the final test in JHB; Fuji Camera's and Springbok jerseys, and they climbed over the weekend - it really is rewarding to see a project come together like that.

technology bugs

As amazing as technology is, I can't help but feel that it's let me down as of late...

My SIM card has been playing up since I got it, I've replaced it, had my phone sent in to make sure it wasnt that, but yet some days it just doesn't work. Like this past weekend; yet when I switched my phone on today - it's perfect again! it's like it refuses to allow me to work on the weekend - bizarre!

anyhow... besides my phone me email has been haunted lately. My emails (especially the onse that took me an hour to delicately construct) seems to disappear to cyber-heaven. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? I've only just discovered that some important client emails never reached them - can you tell how frustrated I am???

then there is the Neotel (shit) line which always seems to fail in an important phone call; my VPN that wont download my email, and well, the f-ing remote not working when I want it too.

It's going to be a loooooooooooooong week.

Of course, it does help that I have the worlds most beautiful girl for a daughter!

guilty as charged..

gosh it been a long time - I *almost* forgot I had this blog.. I'll HAVE to make more of an effort to write on a regular basis...

Ok, so, a quick update:
besides my darling daughter turning one in April (see pic above) she also started walking, wait, let me rephrase that: running. I suppose its pointless mentioning that life hasn't quite been the same (not that I would change a thing) HOWEVER it is contributing to slices of the 29kg I put on whilst pregnant falling off- yes I know 16kgs is the 'normal' and I was pregnant 14 months ago and yappity yap.... (besides, have you met me??? do you know how much sugar I need to get through a day!?!) at least its a start!

Something else on the newsfront:
We have decided we need a change. I can't reveal what this change will be just yet, I just know its busy simmering in its little pot full of ideas... what this space!

I will be uploading a couple of pics I took on my cellphone the last couple of months - I downloaded the all and found a couple of gems :)
